One of my favorite times of the year is here: Hobonichi reveal month! Throughout the whole month of August, Hobonichi reveals sneaks of new covers, accessories, and changes every day. It’s like Christmas! I’ve been a Hobonichi user for the past 3 years now and I’m really looking forward to the release of the 2018 Hobonichi Techo.

I started using the Weeks this year as my work planner. Next year, they’re releasing a Hedgehog cover! My heart stopped when I saw it. It’s absolutely perfect! Hedgehogs bring me such joy and I have one that I’m proud to call my daughter~

Every year since 2015, Hobonichi has released a cover from the Mother 2 series. This year’s is from the Magicant map in the game. I’m excited to add another Mother 2 cover to my collection: Onett, Saturn Valley, Cast, and Memories. Mother 2 is one of my all time favorite games. The Onett cover was the reason why I decided to buy a Hobonichi Techo in the first place, because I love anything Mother 2 related. But I’m so happy I did because it has been such a rewarding hobby to have and with such an amazing community.

Lastly, this “Melon” cover has been growing on me. Blue is my favorite color but green is a close second and it just looks so refreshing here! I might have to cave and purchase this one as well. I think it’ll look great with the trees cover on cover released in 2015 that I own.

I absolutely can’t wait for September 1st to come when the entire 2018 lineup is released for purchase! I think Hobonichi is such a great company, with the creator being the same creator of the Mother series, Shigesato Itoi. He is such a brilliant man with such outstanding ideas. To have an entire year logged into one book is something so valuable. I am excited to start another year with Hobonichi and keep more memories in this wonderful book.

Animal Crossing Personality Quiz

So I found this quiz on Tumblr the other night and decided to take it for shits and giggles. I thought they got my personality spot on. It’s pretty cute!

You are a normal villager, but don’t let this title fool you; you are far from average.
You are modest and kind and passionate about reading, be it fiction or fact; you just love exploring other worlds.
And of course just because you might prefer to explore worlds through other people’s experiences rather than being daring enough to experience it yourself, you may think you’re pretty ordinary.
But there is a great lack of people like you today, and in fact you make a huge difference by staying where you are with the calm, happy glow you spread to those around you.
You aren’t as invisible as you might sometimes think.

Lazy Saturday

I had a really lovely Saturday this past weekend. My family was out for the day so I had the whole house to myself. I set myself up in the eating area downstairs with all the bright windows and plants surrounding me. I spread out all my journaling supplies to catch up on some entries I had missed. I had some light Kawaii Radio on YouTube playing in the background to keep me company. I also made myself a cup of Honey Citron tea, one of my favorites. It filled me with warmth and sweetness. I lit a Rainforest Incense stick and had that lovely aroma wafting as I journaled. It was the perfect alone time I needed for myself with no distractions. This is one reason I’m excited to move out into my own place. To have more moments like this to myself.

First Post

Sakura Matsuri 2017 6I’ve decided to create a blog for myself. We’ll see how I keep up with it in the future. I’ve been feeling very creative lately and feel I need some sort of outlet.
A little bit about myself:
I love photography and I’m trying to get back into it. Pastels are my favorite colors and are immensely calming to look at. I’ve also started to get back into videogames again with the help of my New 2DS XL. I use my Hobonichi Techo to journal everyday as a memory keeper. Stationery has been a big love of mine since I was very young.
I hope this will be a light-hearted happy blog that I can gush about whatever topics I like.
